Winning recipe

This recipe apparently won at the West Virginia State Farm (or so I was told), and since it was shared with me, thought you'd enjoy it too!
Cheesy Taco Pie
  • 1 pkg refrigerated crescent rolls
  • 1 1/2 lbs. ground beef
  • 1 pkg taco seasoning (made my own taco seasoning since most commercial brands include MSG)
  • 1 can Rotel Tomatoes (I just used diced tomatoes)
  • 1 can refried beans (heated); cold beans do not spread!
  • 1 bag shredded Mexican-style cheese
  • 1 pkg crushed tortilla chips
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.  Lay crescent rolls flat in bottom of 13"x9" baking dish.  Bake according to can directions.  Brown beef in large skillet, drain.  Add taco seasoning and tomatoes, mix well.  When rolls are baked, remove from oven, top with beef mixture.  Add a layer of refried beans, thin layer of sour cream, a layer of cheese and crushed tortilla chips.  Return to oven, back at 350 for 10 minutes until heated through and cheese melted.

So yummy!
