A new garden method

Gramercy Farm Spring
Dunn's Gap Run
With all the rain comes spring growth... especially in the grass department.  Saturday we rode to Ronnie's Mom's house to cut her grass and just enjoy being outdoors.  We went the back way home and these are some of the views.  I just love Gramercy Farm; It would be a spectacular B&B; instead it is a second home that is rarely used.

We also worked on the garden shed and created some raised beds; yes, I am going to try my hand at square foot gardening.  Several friends are using this style with great success so we are going to give it a try.  Let the adventure begin!  Sunday morning started up with rain and cool temps leaving us content to get a few things done around the house.  These few things included laundry, some cooking, and cleaning.  We had family over for dinner and fellowship; I really enjoyed just sitting in the warm kitchen and chatting.

On the laundry front, making soap without borax produced an easier to use, less clumpy mixture.  Sans borax should clear up the dermatitis that Ronnie has been experiencing around his collar.

What I have not shared with you is our newest addition to the Ward House and that's coming; look closely at the garden shed picture, middle way lying down to the left of the grape arbor.

Hmmmm.
